About the Sant Nivruttinath Samadhi

Located in the holy town of Trimbakeshwar, Sant Nivruttinath Samadhi is one of the most spiritually important pilgrimage sites connected with the Nath Sampradaya and the revered saints of Maharashtra. Sant Nivruttinath Maharaj was the elder brother and guru of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and is deeply respected for spreading spiritual wisdom, devotion, and Nath yog traditions across the region.

According to spiritual history, Sant Nivruttinath received Nath initiation from the great yogi Gahininath in the Brahmagiri mountains near Trimbakeshwar. After guiding his younger siblings — Sant Dnyaneshwar, Sopan Dev, and Muktabai — on the spiritual path, Sant Nivruttinath later took samadhi in Trimbakeshwar. Today, devotees visit this sacred place seeking inner peace, spiritual guidance, and blessings from one of Maharashtra’s greatest saints.

The samadhi temple is known for its peaceful atmosphere, devotional chants, and strong spiritual energy. During religious festivals and the Sant tradition gatherings, thousands of devotees from across Maharashtra visit the temple to offer prayers and remember the teachings of Sant Nivruttinath Maharaj.
