Sita Gufa to Remain Closed from January 23 to March 31, 2026 for Ram Kal Path Works
Darshan at Sita Gufa in Panchavati will remain temporarily closed from 23 January 2026 to 31 March 2026 due to ongoing development work under the Ram Kal Path project. An official notice displayed at the site informs devotees that entry to the cave will not be permitted during this period.
The temporary closure is part of infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving the heritage corridor connecting key religious landmarks in the Panchavati area. Authorities have undertaken redevelopment and pathway enhancement work to ensure better accessibility, safety, and crowd management, especially in preparation for the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027.
Devotees planning to visit Sita Gufa during this time are advised to make alternative arrangements and follow official updates regarding reopening dates. The redevelopment initiative is expected to enhance the overall pilgrim experience while preserving the spiritual and cultural importance of the site.
Further updates regarding the progress of Ram Kal Path works and reopening announcements are awaited from civic authorities.
